Reaching out in the U.S.:
Temporary Housing Grants
Through a $1,200 grant, Ms. Allen, was given funds for emergency housing in the U.S. A native of Nigeria, Africa, Allen, was the victim of a horrific act of violence back in her native country when a male family member threw sulfuric acid on her, burning and blinding her in one eye, and disfiguring her face and upper torso. It was a true miracle that she even survived many initial life-saving surgeries on the terrible second- and third-degree burns to her arms, face, chest and abdomen. (To read the story behind her amazing will to live, please Click here to see the file )
Now she is in the U.S. to undergo a series of lengthy and painful reconstructive surgeries at Shriners Hospital in Galveston. She is currently undergoing surgeries every 2-3 months and is waiting to have reconstructive work completed on her nose, septum and eye socket (with an eye implant). Immediate funds (approx. $1,100) are needed to purchase a prosthetic eye and to pay for upcoming surgery on her nose ($375). If you can help, please e-mail (contact_us@worldmissionpossible.org) or send a tax-deductible donation (clearly marked "Ms. Allen fund") to
