*Medical Personnel  - M.D., D.O., R.N., dentists, or P.A.'s 
 
*HIV/AIDs - Need personnel to conduct workshops & training
 
* Dentistry & Oral Healthcare Training - Need personnel to conduct workshops & dentistry 
 
*Doctors - RETIRED physicians are welcome! 
Emergency, family, pediatrics, infectious disease, tropical disease or other.
 
 
* Translators & Volunteers (limited) 

*All team applications are subject to verification of current & vaild U.S. medical certification. (If applicant is retired, please note.)  Team member acceptance is based upon medical experience, expertise needed and time of application. Final member approval lies solely at the discretion of the World Mission Possible board and mission team leader.

  1.)  Ghana, West Africa

A medical mission to rural areas of northwestern Ghana, West Africa, to focus on 

primary medical care, HIV/AIDs training workshops, dentistry, prenatal care and infectious tropical

diseases.  Areas: Lawra, Ekotsi-Bogyano, Ngani and Nalogni (three-week trip).

2.) Rep. of South Africa
 
  
A mission to provide assistance to Zimbabwean refugees at the Albert Street School, Johannesburg, working in conjunction with South African Methodist Volunteers in Missions. 
We will provide renovation assistance, HIV/AIDs workshops, education, and donations of school uniforms and medical supplies (three-week trip).  
 
The dates of the upcoming mission are: 
July 28- Aug.14, 2010  
 
3.) Cameroon, Africa

An aid mission to northwest provinces in Cameroon, Africa (primarily in Ntumbaw and Njirong
villages) . Services to focus on educational support, and p
rimary medical care.
There will also be a r
eforestation project to focus on the replacement of eucalyptus trees and the planting
 of indigenous trees in rural areas in northwestern Cameroon.  People with reforestation experience, water
engineering or agriculture expertise are welcome.

4.) New Orleans, Louisiana  
 
Medical team - RNs, MDs, and PAs are needed to provide free one-day clinic and wellness care
to Hurricane Katrina-hit area of the Ninth Ward in New Orleans. The team will also donate free OTC meds, and hundreds of gently used coats and blankets - please contact roxanerichter@yahoo.com for information on donations.

5.) Hurricane Ike Clinic & Aid, Texas  
Medical team - RNs, MDs, and PAs are needed to provide free one-day clinic and wellness care
to Hurricane Ike-hit area of Galveston and Dickinson, Texas. The team will also donate free OTC meds, and hundreds of gently used coats and blankets - please contact roxanerichter@yahoo.com for information on donations.

8.) Gastrointestinal Endoscopy& ER Mission, 
Salur, India
 
 
  
Medical team - RNs and MDs (ER & GI)  are needed. The team will conduct an Endoscopy camp and provided training to the local medical personnel and also assist in the set up, design, implementation and training of current ER practices and procedures. The team will be working in the Philadelphia Hospital in Salur, Andhra Pradesh, India (one week trip).

  •  Team member must meet all of the WMP team leader's "Minimum Standards of Practice & Qualifications" for team participation. For specific information concerning WMP's minimum standards of practice & qualifications, please e-mail questions to: Medical Director, Dr. Thomas Flowers  @  tmax0330@aol.com for participation on the mission trip - Funds vary with each location/team trip.

 

  • World Missions Possible, Inc. does not provide medical, liability or travel insurance for any mission team participant. Team members are encouraged to provide their own insurance coverage.    
 
 
Please Note:
 
* While some independent travel MAY BE allowed before/after a World Missions Possible team trip, World Missions Possible is not responsible
& will NOT REIMBURSE participant for personal travel expenses
(outside of the agreed upon & stated expenses for lodging & travel during the mission, etc.).  
 
 
* World Missions Possible is NOT RESPONSIBLE for any illnesses, injuries, liabilities, etc. incurred by any team memeber during their travel during and to/from their mission. Team members are encouraged to provide their own travel/medical/liability insurance coverage.    
     
 
* There are a limited number of openings for non-medical personnel (translators, volunteers, etc.) --- Acceptance of any & all team members lies solely at the discretion of the World Missions Possible board & mission team leader/coordinator.
