Medical & Vision Care Given to 1,200 Patients in Ghana
1,200 patients were offered and received free medical and vision care. The areas served included N'gani (witches village), Ekotsi and Bogyano. Care included free diagnostics, eyeglasses and medications, the use of our mobile ultrasound, vascular doppler fetal tone readings, rehydration therapies, malaria and parasite (worm) treatments, vital signs, plus hospital intervention for long-term care patients, and more.
This year WMP offered its 2nd vision clinic in the southern Ekotsi-Bogyano area. We are grateful to Dr. Charles Darko-Takyi, Professor of the University of Cape Coast, School of Optometry and his 5 medical students for their service to the people in the area. Dr. Charles and his 5 associates worked tirelessly during the clinic, seeing over 70 patients, offering free vision screening and eyeglasses donated by World Mission Possible.
Central Regional Hospital in Cape Coast received a brand-new, state-of-the-art EKG donated by World Missions Possible. We are especially grateful to our magnanimous pharmaceutical sponsor, who year after year donates thousands of prescription drugs for our use: KINAPHARMA Ltd., of Ghana!
